[ BHAGAVAD GITA · 2.63 · spoken by Krishna ]
The chain from 2.62 completes. This is where it ends.
From anger comes delusion. From delusion, the loss of memory. From the loss of memory, the ruin of intellect. And from the ruin of intellect, one is utterly destroyed.
SANSKRIT
क्रोधाद्भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात्स्मृतिविभ्रमः । स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात्प्रणश्यति ॥२-६३॥
KRISHNA’S LINE
“Follow the chain to its end. Dwelling becomes attachment. Attachment becomes craving. Craving becomes anger. Anger becomes delusion. Delusion corrupts memory. Corrupted memory ruins the mind. A ruined mind is total loss. This is why the anchor matters.”
