Make pleasure and pain the same. Gain and loss the same. Victory and defeat the same — then fight. This is how sin cannot touch you.

Treating pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat as the same — engage in battle. Thus you will not incur sin.

SANSKRIT

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ । ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि ॥२-३८॥

KRISHNA’S LINE

Equanimity is not indifference. It is the only condition under which action becomes completely free. When outcomes can no longer move you, they can no longer stop you.
