Desires still arrive at the sage's door. Here's what's different.

As waters flow into the ocean, which is ever being filled yet remains ever still, so too do all desires flow into the one who attains peace — never the one who chases desires.

SANSKRIT

आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं समुद्रमापः प्रविशन्ति यद्वत् । तद्वत्कामा यं प्रविशन्ति सर्वे स शान्तिमाप्नोति न कामकामी ॥२-७०॥

KRISHNA’S LINE

Rivers never stop pouring into the ocean. The ocean never rises because of it. Desires never stop arriving at the sage. The sage never moves because of them. The chaser is not the same as the vast.
