Once you have the ocean, the well gives you nothing new.

Whatever purpose is served by a small well is equally served by a great reservoir flooded on all sides with water. In the same way, all the purposes of the Vedas are fulfilled for the wise one who has realized the truth.

SANSKRIT

यावानर्थ उदपाने सर्वतः सम्प्लुतोदके । तावान्सर्वेषु वेदेषु ब्राह्मणस्य विजानतः ॥२-४६॥

KRISHNA’S LINE

A well gives water. A flooded lake gives the same water. One is not less true than the other — only smaller. When you know the Self, every scripture's promise is already fulfilled.
