The Gita opens with a question no one wanted answered.
A blind king asks what's happening on a battlefield he'll never see. His first word — "my sons" — reveals he already chose a side.
SANSKRIT
धृतराष्ट्र उवाच । धर्मक्षेत्रे कुरुक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः । मामकाः पाण्डवाश्चैव किमकुर्वत सञ्जय ॥१-१॥
हिंदी
धृतराष्ट्र बोले — हे संजय! धर्मभूमि कुरुक्षेत्र में जब मेरे और पाण्डु के बेटे आमने-सामने हुए — तो उन्होंने क्या किया?
